Almost 50 people from the Auckland Muslim community received their COVID-19 vaccinations at the Avondale Islamic Centre on Friday (17 September). The event was organised by the NZ Muslim Association and supported by The Medication Management Hub.

President of the NZMA Ikhlaq Kashkari said he was grateful to the NRHCC and Ministry of Ethnic Communities for organising an opportunity for his community to be vaccinated in a familiar setting. "Many of our people have been quite proactive around the vaccination programme and have already received their vaccinations, however these opportunities have been invaluable for some of our more vulnerable community members who feel safer staying closer to home.”
